It has been an honor to be trusted with your heart, Krista. We talked about so many things and a lot of it was really hard stuff. This world gave you less than you deserved but somehow you were generous, kind, and brave anyway. Your life and legacy will continue to inspire others on a similar path. Those of us left behind will do our absolute best to carry on your memory and inspire and advocate for others. You will never be forgotten.
Rest in Heaven, Krista ❤️

I miss your shining smile Krista! Lacey, Brittany, Bethany and you made a synchronized swim star in the water of
Lake Nikomis one summer day. Your Mom was called to look and she said yes, it's pretty good! Fun memories we cherish. So Krista you are our Star. God's Blessings of Everlasting Joy and Comfort to all

“There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains.”
I love this quote because of how well it resonates with who Krista always was!
I don’t have many pictures with Krista to share but I could write a book on all the memories I have with her spent at our grandparents house in the summertime or dancing and singing downstairs at Aunt Wendy’s house.
Krista was a one-of-kind cousin. I think she had the most beautiful and creative soul. I bet any person could offer her a job or project and within a couple days she would have that entire operation locked down! She always had that witty personality where it seemed like she could create something amazing with just a paper and pencil, but that’s how she was. When she was passionate about something she really went for it. No fear. Speaking of fear…Krista was the one that put me on a horse for the first time in my life! I was terrified of horses but watching Krista around horses was seriously something SO special. I bet Krista is up in heaven teaching our grandpa how to trail ride as I’m writing this! I’m so blessed to have all these memories with Krista and I’ll cherish them for the rest of my days.
Krista was truly the purest soul. Always here. Always willing. Always beautiful.
Forever missed. Forever loved.

We have so many wonderful memories starring the one and only Karita. Krista always had a way with words and could find the humor in just about any situation. We were amazed by her creativity, her sense of style, and her way with animals. We know that family was so important to her, and losing her has reminded us not to take the time we are given or those we love for granted.
Krista, it's hard not to think about what might have been, but your story continues through your friends and your family. You are a part of us, and we will carry you with us always.
Love,
Rachael and Gretchen

Q: How did you meet Krista?
A: This is a message from Dad,
Krista liked her name. I told her that Wendy and I couldn't decide if it should be Krista Caley or Caley Krista and of course, we decided on Krista Caley and Krista liked it. Caley has the same letters as her sister's name, Lacey. Krista was named for Davey Allison's daughter Krista. Davey and family were good friends with our family.
Krista was ready to try different ventures, motorcycling, horses, skydiving. She did not like cross country skiing. When she was little, she would get so mad, would take off the skis, walk out of the woods.
Krista helped me several times with appraisals and she was so professional and organized, worked well with people and we got to spend a lot of time together. She was well spoken and made friends with everyone we worked with, everyone loved her.
I miss you Honey Bee.
A girl in the wind...you can't catch the wind.
See you later!
Love you Dad, Love you Krista.
God's Peace

I remember Krista with her beautiful smile. The last time we all saw Krista, she met us in our way home from camping and gave Liam and Rosie rides on her horse. They talked about her for weeks. Krista’s love for horses and her dogs allowed her to easily connect with people of all ages. She loved deeply and we will remember her forever- Shannon, Bruce, Liam and Rosie

Q: What 3 words best describe Krista and why?
A: Creative. Fearless. Passionate.
Three words to describe Krista Caley and almost the exact opposite of me. Qualities that were her blessing, maybe sometimes a curse. Krista was passionate about wherever she was in the moment. She brought people together, able to talk to anyone. Dad's best friend. Mom's sidekick.
Krista Caley, I will forever miss you. I can only hope to be just a little bit more like you in these ways. You balanced me, called me out when I needed it. You would tell me to stop parenting you, but really I sometimes needed you to pull me out of my comfort zone. What I wouldn't give to answer my phone and hear "hey" one more time.
Fly high, sweet sister. Love you always.

Q: What was Krista really good at?
A: As her Mom, Krista had so many qualities and I will name a few.
Krista had a good heart, she was smart, she was very artsy, she was a good shopper, she was a good writer, she was pretty, she was brave, she loved animals especially dogs and horses, she was considerate and had a lot of common sense, she was very detailed, she threw herself into any project completely, she was organized and I loved her beyond words. She may not be here physically but she will always be part of our lives until we are together again in Paradise!

I met Krista when we were in our freshman year at UW Wausau. Krista and I instantly connected and she ended up moving in with me and being my roommate. Krista and I shared so many unforgettable memories and took many road-trips together. Krista and I got matching tattoos when we were 19. I will always look at that tattoo and be reminded of her, and I will always remember to persevere. I hope you have found peace, Krista, and I look forward to meeting again in another life.

Krista & I met very soon after starting our freshman year of college in Wausau in the dorms. We lived across the hall from each other & became fast friends! We discovered that we both shared a love for riding horses & our Dad’s even knew each other from both being in the logging industry. We spent a lot of fun times together that I’ll never forget.
We continued our friendship well after our time in Wausau. She visited me in my hometown of White Lake meeting my family & many of my friends. Many people in White Lake will miss Krista as they got to know her as well. She attended Brewer games with my family & I. She always fit right in & helped create memories that I’ll forever cherish. I also visited her in Tomahawk where we went horseback riding & I got to see where she grew up which was so very special.
One of my favorite & most recent memories with Krista was when she asked me if I wanted to attend a Packer game with her because she knew I just celebrated my birthday & was a huge Packer fan like her. She didn’t know that I had never been to a game before which made it even more exciting. She knew someone with season tickets in the end zone that we were able to purchase & off we went! We had so much fun & enjoyed a Packer victory along with some rainy weather.
Krista was one of my best friends. We were able to pick up right where we left off & always had so much love for each other no matter how much time had passed. She will forever be missed & always in my heart.

Krista, I will never forget the huge impact you had on Payton and her love for horses. The day you let her ride Braze, was probably one of the best days of her life.
I will always look back and smile at some of the best memories...from making up our own dance to Wide Open Spaces or Aunt Wendy yelling at us for listening to Strawberry Wine because "we are too young to be listening to that." Going on the jetski, ice skating, going on the paddle boat down the channel and getting big nasty spiders on us, or even going on the four wheeler yelling at the older cousins "don't do it". Thank you for the memories I will never, ever forget. We love you, Krista and I know you are up in heaven watching over us with Grandpa. (And I might be a little jealous about that)

I have countless memories of time with Krista. One of my favorites is when our family traveled to Negril Jamaica for Gretchen & Dans wedding. We had so much fun together. The long ride from the airport to the Couples resort. The beautiful sand beaches, the sunsets and of course all the different foods. Krista really enjoyed the sandy beaches and swimming in the warm Caribbean waters. She was a very tan girl by the time we left. She loved being together with her family, even Grandma made the trip! I have so many memories of Krista that I will keep in my heart always. We will never forget our Krista.

I was formally a Regional Sales Manager for a Verizon retailer where Krista was on my team. Her light burned brightly and Krista’s smile lit up the room. More than a year ago I found out that Krista had moved to Florida where I lived. She and I became great friends and even talked about writing a book or screenplay together telling her story.
