Brian always made time to see us when we came to Tomahawk. He always greeted us with hug and huge smile. He liked to take walks down to Prides Dam when we were home. He loved nature – we remember when Brian was so upset when they cut the trees down in Bradley Park.
When our daughter brought her house, Brian came down to Illinois with brother Jeff and helped repaint and repair siding on the entire house. Brian was a weekend warrior when needed.
He will truly be missed!

Brian truly held an incredibly generous & loving heart. A gift he shared with any and all who crossed his path.
Although Zephyr and I will miss our afternoon excursions with him, Brian has left us with many a treasured memory.

I have many fond memories of Brian which go all the way back to kinnygarden at the little white schoolhouse across from where the big kids went. Brian always bragged me up and challenged other kids to race me around the school. I never knew anyone with such a good natured outlook on life. Brian and I were with a group of classmates one night on the banks of a river grabbing suckers. I kept getting hit with little pebbles on the side of my head and I turned around to see Russ Peachman and I think I said” if you weren’t so big I would like your but”. Now if you know Russ you also know a kid like me weighing in at 98 pounds soaking wet had no business making a comment like that. As soon as I heard Brian bust out in laughter I knew I had called victim to one of his pranks. Good times! That’s just one of many, many great memories I will never forget about Brian. There are many other memories I could share and every one would highlight Brian’s laughter. He enjoyed time spent with his friends and I can assure you they enjoyed it too. Cheryl and I are praying for Gods comfort to be evident as the Copisky’s figure out how to cope with their loss. He will be sorely missed!

I've been knowing Brian for almost 60 years. We grew up a few blocks apart, in fact, we walked to kindergarten together. We'd meet on the sidewalk of Lincoln Avenue and 3rd Street. It was only 2 blocks from there to our little white school. You'd think you couldn't get in much trouble in just two blocks...not so for us. I'll leave out the stories.
We ran the Wisconsin River together, fished, played all the sports. Went to St. Mary's and liked some of the same girls.
Over the years we grew distant, like so many friendships. In 2016 was had our 40th class reunion. I so enjoyed the robust conversation with Brian. He recalled many of our adventures. His renditions were colorful, and filled with that Brian smile.
I'm blessed to have had Brian in my life as a good friend.

Brian was a Good Man!!! We enjoyed pontooning, fishing, working, and walking together, often discussing important topics, at least to us, while sipping on a beverage or two. On road trips, it was truly amazing how many friends and people he knew, including most of the songs on the juke boxes. Brian was a caring empathetic listener, sharing ideas on what might be helpful. He was there for me, and many others, during struggles. Brian often said, “If you plant Potatoes, you grow Potatoes!” when our kids would make bad decisions. He’d say it with “Potaters!” instead of potatoes, which added to our laughter. Bryonda, you have many Wonderful Qualities of your Dad and Mom, that is easy to see. Brian will be dearly missed.

Larry, Alan, Joe, Shelley, and families,
I am very sorry to hear about Brian's passing. I didn't see him a lot in recent years, but whenever we ran into each other, he always had that smile and a few minutes to talk. You have my deepest sympathies.

Dear Larry-Alan-Joe-Shelley & families,
Brian was a good friend of mine all through our lives-we always tried to invite him along when the women from 1976 THS class went out so he could join in-we all enjoyed each other’s company and he was always eager to meet up-see the pictures I posted-we’re going to miss him-we last met up in September of 2022 and sadly there aren’t any pictures
Sincere condolences to all ❤️
