Jerome “Jerry” Maney, age 80, of Tomahawk, passed away on Monday, November 06, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Jerry was born on February 16, 1937 in Iola, WI to Donald & Maurine (Behling) Maney. He was a member of the Air Force Reserve for 6 years. Jerry married Shirley Moe in August of 1958 in Milwaukee. Jerry worked for WE Energy for 35 years. He retired in 1995 as the Operating Supervisor. In 1997, Jerry & Shirley moved to Tomahawk. He enjoyed the outdoors; snowmobiling in the winters and sea-dooing in the summers. He loved hunting, fishing, bowling and being on Lake Nokomis. He received the Melvin Jones Award from Tomahawk Lions Club.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley, of Tomahawk; his 3 daughters – Jacqueline (Doug Beals) Firkus, Tomahawk, Judith (Dan) Bauman, Tomahawk, and Janet (Robert) Walsh, Franklin; and his son – John Maney, Racine. He is further survived by his two brothers – Dean (Laurie) Maney & Brian (Sharon) Maney, both of Milwaukee; and 4 grandchildren.
The Memorial Service for Jerome “Jerry” Maney will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Krueger Family Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM.
